CCNA Lab Config

Starfish vLabs have created a testing lab aligned to the blueprint of the CCNA certification. It delivers the key configurations of every device showing a book example of network setup. This can be modified according to the needs of a particular network based on a wide variety of devices and interfaces. The configuration is based on Starfish vLabs CCNA Lab Design.

The configuration covers three sites HQ, Main and Branch, along with a WAN configuration to connect the sites together. The location prefixes for each of the sites are listed below.

  • HQ
  • Main
  • Branch
  • ISP

The provided scripts include switches, routers, and firewalls. Across these devices the configuration covers Layer 2 concepts such as STP (MST), VTP and Port Channels. Layer 3 is primarily configured with dynamic routing protocols, but static routing can be substituted in your own lab for training and testing purposes. In addition, sample NAT is also provided, along with CCNA level security configuration using ACLs and SSH.

Overall, we aimed to capture key features and their configurations which will hopefully come in handy for the CCNA certification and provide a basis for your own lab. If you find this useful then please follow us on LinkedIn for more technical content.
